If you are a first home buyer you may qualify for $20,000 in First Home Owner Grants

First home buyers who sign contracts to purchase a newly built home between 1 July 2010 and 30 June 2012 will be eligible for a one off payment of $20,000.

The full $20,000 amount for newly built houses will be payable where:

* Building commences within 24 weeks of signing the building contract;
* Building is complete within 18 months of the commencement of building;
* The value of the property (House and Land) does not exceed $600,000
